Gospel-centered
God has provided for us everything we need for life and godliness through Jesus Christ. Romans 11:36; Philippians 1:8; Colossians 2:2-10; 2 Peter 1:3
Scripture-dependent
The revelation of God through Scripture is sufficient to be an authoritative guide for every area of thinking and living. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Disciple-making
Christ has called His disciples to make disciples in the power that Christ provides. This is a call which is comprehensive scope – from the conversion of the lost soul to Christ-likeness in walk. Matthew 28:19
Christlike-priority
The purpose of the church assembled is sanctification and the purpose of the church dispersed is evangelism so that all will love God above all else. Matthew 22:37
Heart-focused
Everything begins with and flows from the heart. Proverbs 4:23
Principle-guided
God gives to us in His Word both precepts that must be obeyed and principles that must be applied through soul-liberty by wisdom and love. It is important that we keep precepts and principles distinct from each other as demonstrated in Romans 14.
Community-living
God intends for all Christians to live and grow in community. 1 Corinthians 12:14-25; Ephesians 4:11-16; Colossians 3:15-17; Hebrews 10:19-25
Love-motivated
The most loving thing we can do for those around us is to courageously live out Truth with a spirit of godly love. It is to this end we share the Gospel of Christ. Matthew 28:19-22; Ephesians 4:15; Romans 14:13-19
Biblically-Conservative
Committed to understanding the values of past generations through the test of Scripture in order to make wise liberty choices in the present.1 Corinthians 11:1; Romans 14:5-6, 12, 19, 23
Member-ministers
It is God’s design that the individual members of the local church be equipped by the labors of the pastors/elders so that the membership is prepared to do the work of building up their own local body through faithful ministry.
